Bungie isn't third party, from what I remember Microsoft still retails a minority shareholding and they have 1st right of refusal for Bungie games.

I think people forget the most important role that Xbox 360 had on gaming; If it wasn't for them, the Wii would be crushing the PS3 and you would not be waiting for FF13

sony have over 8% of square enix, FF13 got multiplatform.

SE doesn't have to give Sony the choice of turning down its games before they can release on other platforms. Also its doubtful that Bungie walked away with much more than a slim majority ownership.
