Isn't "overrated" everyone knows it but not everyone likes it?

i agree with the list mostly but should change chris with leon (honestly if you think other wise, your dumb) leon is awesome and is one of my fav RE characters but sadly he is way over rated; his character is very bad lol and his dialouge is very bad. As for Lora croft, i dont think shes that overrated...pluse blood ryan and Bayaneta's main characters Stink hard @$$. Sonic, well if you were talking about back when when sonc was good then yes but now...lol i dont think so. i hear nothing about sonic now..maybe because hes dead to me and shut everything out about him....lol

others that should be on the list:

-Sephiroth and Cloud....nuff said

-Mario - he is awesome, most of his games are awesome but nintendo is really really over using there characters and people think hes the greatest character in the world when hes very 2 dimentional.

- Link - he is awesome and most of his games are awesome but hes like Master cheif, really really really generic and 2 dimentional. Also the fact that Nintendo over kills there characters and never develops them make them very boring.

- Samus/Fox - same as i say about link

-Ryu Hyabusa (lol cant spell his last name...) - terrible, just terrible one of the worst characters i've seen in a Vg and so many people like him....why? because hes a ninja (i lol at kids who think ninja's are the greatest)

note: all these characters i've listed above i like (other then Ryu), but i'm not dumb. I know they are overrated.

for someone talking about Snake, He is a popular character but you have to admit that hes great, well thought out  and original.

lol i also laugh at most of the people replying on this thread, specually about the metal gear comment. in my eyes MGS is well written and if you say other wise then....WTF is a well written game?? nothing?

also marcus phoenix cant be overrated and voiced by bender from futurama at the same time

I don't even understand the concept "over rated characters." Are the characters lame? Are the games over rated?

If inFamous becomes popular does that mean the character of that game should be on this list? Is Kratos over rated because God of War sucks?
