A year, I think. I never bought the network adaptor, though. Needing an adaptor to play online is ridiculous.

I always knew, but never had one. :(
I would've told everybody if you went back and time and asked me.
I had a fatty PS2...and then it died on me, but I had bought a 3 year warranty from best buy so they replaced it for me, and at that point the slim PS2 with the built-in Network Adapter was the only thing they could replace it with. After that point I started playing online with my PS2 :P
Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League
I knew years before i even bought it :) But never used it.

Socom and Socom 2 online FTW!!!
I knew from the start. and BTW, a 3rd party one hooked up through the USB port or some crap. I had one until i got the HDD
I always new that. Every console that had expansion bays I knew what they were for. However, I never used any of the expansion bays ever. Also, I can't say I ever knew that any games took advantage of it until a few years back when I found out that FFXI was online.

I bet even fewer people knew that you could install Linux on your PS2 with a Sony kit...
I knew. I even used to play my Dreamcast online. Phantasy Star and Quake 3 <3
I didn't play the PS2 online though because most games didn't have online play and the ones that did didn't interest me.
Edit: I don't think any of my games had online play.
