Great games like GT, MGS, FF, Halo sells very well regardless of how low is the user base. It's been proven time in time. Because the fan base is already there. Main example MGS 4.

Halo 3 still has some years to go before it stops selling. It has been out for less than 2 years and it remains on the charts. With some bundling and price drops I'm sure it'll sell millions more.

I really hope GT5 has poor sales just to shut up the Sony fanboys. They brag about it and most of them don't even give a shit about a racing game.

Point 3 vs point 1 you answered yourself. GT3 is an outlier because of its extensive bundling and due to the rapid pace that the PS2 sold, which you can see from sales of Mario Kart except the PS3 will not benifit from the effect like Mario Kart and the Wii or GT3/4 and the PS2.

The Xbox 360 is looking like its going to double its sales over the Xbox 1. Forza motorsport sales are ~2.5* higher without bundles.

The PS3 is looking to be lucky to halve the PS2's lifetime sales, GT5 could follow those same trends.

Honestly I think Sony fanboys would prefer Killzone 2 or Resistance outsell Halo instead of a racing game.
