@gran turismo

Well, Ive never seen the 360 handle those type of graphics with anything, UT3 $shited on gears of war in the graphics department. I doubt it wont be on the 360, but I dont expect it to look that good.

Uh...this is not the first game to allow console and PC gamers to play against each other...I'm pretty sure the recent Shadowrun also had that.

The ability to make maps and then play them on PS3 is cool...though mapmakers will have to own both the PC game and PS3 game it sounds like...

Didn't say it was the first =P

I just think its going to be well known for it as well as being the game that makes it a standard.

To Each Man, Responsibility

I guess. I won't be playing with any PS3 players anyway...it'd be unfair to them. I'm not a PC elitist or anything...analog controls for FPSs can be fun and accurate enough....but there's no question mouse-controlled FPSs are way quicker...PC players would be twitch-headshot killing PS3 players all over the place...

Unless a PS3 owner used a keyboard and mouse, but I'm assuming a vast majority won't.

And this game will come to 360. If the 360 can handle Gears, it can handle UT3, even if it for some reason needed downscaling a tiny, tiny bit. The biggest issue with 360 is downloadable maps from users and modding, but I'm sure they could figure that out. If not...well that's bad, but it'll still be a great game, and they could release free map packs once in a while...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Hmmm, to pick up this or Haze. I think I am leaning towards this.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

This is going to have a lot more replayability.

Even if you don't make maps, akuma...there's going to be lots of users making completely custom maps that you can download on the PS3...very nice.

Haze's 4 player co-op is pretty sweet...but UT3 is basically the next evolution of FPS...and these guys know how to make an FPS. It will be...sweet.

Unless, and this is what I am hoping for, they put up player made maps for download in the game or the PS store, like LittleBigPlanet for example. Players make stuff and others download 'em.

Now that would make this really worthwhile to more than just the ppl who own both versions which I don't think will be many.

It's not too worth it if they don't make these user created maps downloadable on the PS3.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Well, no, I'm pretty sure they're downloadable on PS3. What I mean is that PC users are the ones making the maps...but PS3 users can download any of them available....so basically the PS3 users will be getting the maps that PC users are also playing on...and I'm sure there'll be at least a few elite mapmakers who get both versions so they can make maps on the PC and then play them on PS3.
