I'll give the edge to Wii if for no other reason than it's big game is coming out earlier in the year. It will be close though given PS3's current momentum.

The funny thing about this thread is that we'll look back on it and wonder why we even ever entertained the thought that the PS3 would even give the Wii any kind of run in 2009.

Quite possibly but the Wii has been in a pretty prolonged slump and while logic dictates that the arrival of some big games should change the picture, Japan is currently doing it's very best to defy conventional game sales logic.
