Wow a new troll on this site........OH HOW ORIGINAL!  Anyway dude since you have been sleeping under a rock for the last month and a half now, the ps3 has out sold the wii in Japan for that whole time.  Basically in Japan it is the best selling home console this year (2009).  Everywhere else it has been obviously out sold by both the wii and 360 (except for three weeks this year when killzone and resident evil 5 came out and it outsold the 360 and again this week with final fantasy 13 demo makes 4).  So why all the hate?  I was able to give props to 360 and wii in my statement and you basically act like you came home and your girl was in bed with the ps3.  It is okay to like a rival console dude, but really if you want to "remain" on this site you are going to have to chill with the unnecessary comments unless you want to get banned.  Ciao.

That post was not trolling, it was actually very accurate... The PS3 has been outselling the Wii in Japan not because it's selling well or it has great momentum.  It has been outselling the Wii because the Wii is selling like crap lately.

I do not think the wii is sellling badly personally, the problem with the wii is that there are no new games.  ps3 had the same problem through most of 2007 in japan.  when I say new games I mean hit games that sell a ton like a mario, princess peach, zelda, or sonic.  So basically it is doing fine compared to the ps3 when it had crap games and no good franchises.  Plus maybe just maybe the wii is getting to the point of saturation due to its high levels of sales per week prior to the launch of this demo on the ps3.

It's highly possible!
I'm predicting that as of December 31, 2009
PS3 will have sold 5+ million units in Japan
10+ million sold in America, and 15-16 million sold everywhere else
I'm predicting the PS3 to hit 32 million units by December 2009.
Xbox 360 I think may still be ahead, but only a small margin.

You are giving reasons why the Wii isn't selling well, but that still means it's not selling well (like the PS3 for a lot of its lifetime in Japan).

These aren't going to provide momentum at all just spikes then massive drop offs. You forget they are backed by Sony who seem to give the impression they don't give a crap about the PS3 or have a damned odd way of showing backing

The remainder of this year the PS3 will sell 10 million more consoles while the 360 will only sell 6 million more.

Remember that a pricecut won't help at all, that only works for other consoles. Haven't you been paying attention?
Anyways, don't get ahead of yourself, the PS3 is struggling in the West and it'd still keep on struggling even if it sold double what the Wii and 360 did combined every week when looking at the ww picture.
The price needs to go down (it has here) and it needs to go down now!
