What a fair and balanced opinion the OP has. Not a troll account at all...no sir!



Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego. 

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

the ps3 has gained momentum fromits sub 10k slump. it has not been under 10k all year. that my friend is called gaining momentum. this is just a spike ontop of the momentum but it still ads to the momentum. defo if the drop of from the rise is less. which i think will happen. hence its gaining momentum with every release

If this is what you have to tell yourself to feel better, then so be it.   There is no bigger title for the PS3 in Japan than FF XIII.  So, based on this, when Halo 4 gets released and sells 5-8 million in a week, I'm going to do a post about how the Xbox is "gaining momentum!"

 



Stop getting so excited about a Kid Icarus remake... the original NES Icarus sucked.

Well, it's always good news to know that Sony hasn't given up on the PS3 just yet.

Guidelines to understanding my train of thought:

  • THE METAL GEAR SOLID FRANCHISE IS THE BEST THING TO HIT THE PLANET SINCE THE PS3!! THUS, MGS FRANCHISE >> SLICED-BREAD.
  • Solid Snake shall and well always shove 1up mushrooms up Mario's ass. 
  • Solid Snake shall and well always decimate Master Chief with a flurry of rocket launchers, shotgun rounds, and a 20 minute monologue.

1. Possible PS3 price cut later on in 2009.

2. Gran Turismo 5

Forget about the fact that some of those items in the list wont do much of anything. Face the fact they are all end of 2009 into 2010 factors. The PS3 may build some momentum, but one week in one region is not momentum.

MS will counter with its own price cut.

GT5 impact is diminishing with each day, week, month that passes. PS3 will have 30 million consoles sold before GT5 releases. Most of the people that purchase GT5 will be people that already own a PS3.

Dito for any FFXIII games.

FFXIII will have no impact between PS3 and 360 except in Japan.

UnCharted 2 and Rachet and Clank are sequels to PS3 games so will have little impact on sales.

God of War series although critically acclaimed have never been huge sellers and wont make an impact.

If the PS3 is going to outsell the 360 in sales then it better get started. Because so far this year and looking forward the only quarter that really looks like PS3 could have more success is the 4th qtr.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

i think after a price cut it will sell nearly like the Wii in Europe + the push from the great games that will come there are at least 10 weeks that the ps will outsold the xbox in america and in the end of 2010 ps3 overtakes the xbox sales!
