So apparently, my company's filter thinks this is a site with flash games or something. GREAT! Now I have to remote desktop to my home computer just to read vgchartz news.

This site DOES have flash games ;)

Unless one's job is related to games, one should not spend company times reading games news!

If I were you, I'd quit that job.

Apparently they've blocked any gaming related website, starting today. Includes ign.com, gamefaqs.com, wiibrew.org and other urls I've tried. Generally I hate this kind of restriction on the employees freedom, but what can you do, other than quit.

I actually read about a study in a local newspaper that found that people actually worked harder when they were allowed to browse unhindered because they get micro down time and thus when they actually work they're more efficient.

The weird thing is what they allow and dont allow. I mean, going to nintendo.com is not OK, but DATING SITES are allowed?!

Psh, I spend half my day reading kotaku and various game related sites at work.  Ones that aren't blocked that is.  Obviously big sites like gamestop.com are blocked.  I'd be very bored throughout the day if they actually blocked all gaming sites.
