Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes anyway, and besides the BR sales tracking thread is in this section so...

We have all been made painfully aware recently that the FFAC Blu-Ray + FFXIII demo sold a reasonably massive amount of BR's and probably PS3's too. If it was tracked as a game, it would have trumped the charts.

My question is, how much more does this BR need to sell to match the DVD sales of FF:AC?

400k copies sold (and climbing) of any BR movie is good imo

Does anyone know?

The DVD sold 4.1m worldwide.

hmm... so ~10% of total in it's first week. not too bad imo...
only 10 more weeks at 400k to go lol

from that same wiki above:

"The DVD release of Advent Children sold over 420,000 copies in Japan in its first week"

so BR selling on par with DVD for now!

DVD sold 400k first week in Japan when released according to this wiki so BR is at 65-70% of that number.

hm...dunno where I got 400k BR first week numbers from...maybe from Grandma's special mushrooms or something...

so the BR's at an estimated 300k for the 1st week?

Famitsu say around 270k but noone really knows :)
