"The" I dont know why you think I control the final numbers. If I sent you a print screen of my computer screen right now you would see that I have no capacity to upload any data on the site. That is why data never goes up if you don't see a little "online" symbol next to ioi. Ultimately its a matter of hits. If we don't have compelling content on the front page, data tends to go up a little faster, if we do, a little slower. Since no one else provides free weekly data for Others and Americas, while two other major agencies do for Japan there is no rush to get our Japan data up. Why bother? I doubt most of you came to this site for weekly Japan numbers. They've been available for years, personally I've been following them since the PS1 era on a weekly basis.

As for us not getting hired...how exactly can a free service be hired? What would be the purpose? NPD, Chart Track, Media Create and the others have far more sample data to work with than we do, so they charge for their services. It makes perfect sense that we're not "hired". Most of these companies don't even need those services frankly. Nintendo uses something called Siras which it liscenses out to companies like Sony, which is why it can release data like "we sold 800,000 Wiis on Black Friday" the Monday after Black Friday. NPD and the others are used because they are considered objective, professional third parties with large samples while something like Siras is internal and considered 'subjective' even though it seems very accurate.

If you did a preview every week of an entire market in two hours, while translating the data you receive out of Japan into English, for free, without speaking Japanese, I guarentee you'd be wrong often. Instead you sit here and complain that the numbers you are getting early and for free are producing an outcome marginally different than what professional agencies produce with days of extra work, massive staffs, better samples and years of experience.

At least you're kinda admitting that they are more reliable and more accurate. Kudos to you. Now to fix some numbes on this site.....

Personally I don't have any issue with the numbers on this site, just with the very optimistic Wii previsions that have started to be given recently...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Defiantly not kissing any ass here but the was a very well formed and structured argument.

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."

3rd straight week the preview said wii outsold ps3, but it turned out to be false.
eh well, good numbers for MH.

btw, slashing the price on the wii would barely help its sales, its games the wii needs. the price is pretty low as it is.

Price cuts always help. No matter how small.

Do you have a problem with me? I don't think that my comment was anywhere directed near you. Unless you are kissing ass of coarse. But I don't see you doing that.

On the other hand many people on this site do kiss TheSource's/Mod's/Brett's ass just like some (not saying all do) of the comments before mine. I repect the man for what he does but in the end I could care less about numbers and  I bow to no man.. They are just a fun thing to argue and do while I'm bored.

Also at least next time come up with more than "OK ...". Cause I also respect you for posting these numbers up for us so we don't have to go look it up.
