for it to look as good as even an early ff on ps2. The textures are just bland, they've got the idea right though, just didn't develop on it.

I understand what you mean xcot ,but only high budget AAA game in Japan that got enough money and time to do so.I think this game looking better than TOS and if story is great ,gameplay really well done.Then it good enough to play because i didn't care much about graphic.:)
i changed my mind it does look quite nice, but only in the off-screen videos.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

And old thing that JRPGs use that really bother me is the use of a static character using gestures to go along with voice acting. Just do the whole thing in motion!
