The PS3 has been hot this week in Japan, but will this continue, or will it go back down to 10k a week, or will it continue to outsell the Wii, but not at a much bigger margin?

I think the PS3 can do it with its Japan gaming line-up coming. But what do you guys think?

Well it's hot because of a lot of good games in Japan. Is anything good after the demo???

nope. The PS3 has been doing great but also the competition has had next to nothing in the way of sellers since almost the start of the year.

PS3 has also had a string of great sellers during this time. After this demo of FF, what is left for the PS3 coming out soon, vs what is coming out soon for the competition?

The PS3 also benefits from a couple of titles which seems to resonate with its userbase better overall -> Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4 along with the long long long long long awaited Killzone 2.

I was curious to see whether the momentum would last in the western world/Japan or if the console would start seeing greater drops YOY as the impact of these games die and we move into the quiet middle of the year.

I turn this around, what is the Wii going to release thats going outsell the ps3 in japan (games that are coming out soon)?

Abd the Big One:

Wii Sports resort - the way Wii sports sells and Wii Fit, there's no denying this game with WM+ is going to explode in japan (and the rest of the world for that matter).

Sony has a huge line-up of RPG's too, I just cant name them b/c I live in the states and over there we dont know too much about japanese games.

rafichamp - Yes there is but are they coming out soon or is it another 6 months before they really start to role out... (I don't know - that's why I'm asking).
