Disagree with the smoking comment :P
My Wow playing time is a pure function of the raiding content available, not of any addiction.
Before Ulduar I was down to playing 6 hours a week spread over 2 nights ( time to clear every raid). Now I am back to 6 days a week and around 20-24 hours...

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

I work 40 hours a week, play PS3 30 hours or so a week.

Am I addicted to work or my PS3 ?

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

168 (hours a week) - 40 - 30 - 24 - 56 (8 hours of seep a night) = 18..... when do u have a life.....? :P

You don't have to raid every night though. Wanting to do something when you don't need to is in a way an addiction. You can say no, you just choose not too. Unlike work, you can't say no to it. Well you can, but then you'll be homeless lol.

I sleep 5-6 hours a night...

And I am married in my 30s so it's not like I have to go out on dates...

as long as the guy is having fun and he knows his priorities I dont see why its bad to go back. is it because of the name WOW and you have to pay for subscription? anyway on the topic, I am sober for several months now and thinking of going back to get some more epic items for my lvl 80 warrior.

Sacrificing a goodnight's sleep and potentially your health to fuel your addiction.  Tsk tsk.

I haven't slept more than 6 hours a night in 15 years I started playing Wow 3 years ago so make the correlation...

As long as you're happy with that lifestyle, then go for it ;) As long as shagging the missus is involved ;)

Why would anyone want to start playing World of Warcraft again?

It's like taking up smoking again after you worked hard to quit. It just doesn't make sense.

Because it's a damn fucking good RPG.

Damn I wish life was longer, or every day was like 30 hours instead of 24. Then I would play an MMORPG. I love them, but I simply get so addicted that I ruin my IRL life.
