I filtered it three times, but still tasted like fat.
I'm going to try it again eventually, but next time instead of fat washing I'm just going to out the bacon in the whiskey for a few hours in then filter it out.
Bacon salt sounds awesome, season my bacon with bacon...
And Twesterm, keep up the recipes for bacon whiskey, it can be done.

I actually came into this thread to recommend these. I got some as a stocking stuffer last Christmas, and sadly haven't needed to use any yet. Maybe I should just fake a horrible injury to have an excuse to put them all over my face.
