Forums - Nintendo - Why aren't more people upset about Wii Motion Plus?

I'm really looking forward to the WM+.  I can't wait to try Tiger Woods and Grad Slam Tennis and I'm salivating over future ppossibilities.  I could care less about Wii Sports Resort, but to each his own I guess.  What puzzles me is why more people aren't a little pissed at Nintendo for taking this long to finally make the Wii remote do what they said it was going to do out of the box.  Then...they have the audacity to charge you for it as well.  IMO, every Wii owner should get a coupon for 1 free WM+ or at least for a discount.  Kinda like the digital converter boxes for TV.

I'm happy with it.

Sure, it could be better, but it's an improvement. And it's an improvement I'm willing to pay for. Heck, I'd pay the price for WSR alone. They could have scammed me for 20 bucks more.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Wait, when did Nintendo ever say that the Wii remote would have one-to-one motion? That was just us fans assuming it would. Nintendo created MotionPlus because developers wanted more accuracy for their games.

I guess the reason why more people aren't upset about MotionPlus is because it was your own fault if you expected the original Wii remote to be 100% accurate. It sucks, but that's the way it is, and I'm sure the price boost would have been significant if Nintendo managed to get MotionPlus at launch.

# of games above 75 on Metacritic (including downloadable):

360: 241     DS: 144

PS3: 152     PSP: 126

Wii: 85

They never said they were going to do 1:1 right out of the box. In fact they quite clearly stated that it had accelerometers in it. If you knew anything, you would know right away that without gyros you could never do 1:1 accurately.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Meh, 20 bucks is no big deal. I have a feeling they're going to start incorporating Motion+ into Wiimotes soon.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

That would be a nice touch.

A lot of games are being bundled with it, so i guess that's a fair trade

I fully expect this holiday season to see a new Wii SKU that incorporates the WM+ into the remote and bundles the system with Wii Sports Resort.  I then expect to see the original Wii Sports go on sale separately for like $20.

For tiger woods it will only be 10 dollars more and you will get WM+ right? That's not bad at all.
