No I was sure that Boogie and Carnival Games would sell. It's exactly the kind of casual games that the Wii is about, no sarcasm.
As for the mistake, I confused it with Playground that other EA casual game.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Maybe Wii owners actually know what they're buying?

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
While I wish that Boogie was better (I was completely ready to make an ass of myself with that game) I'm not surprised it didn't sell better. It wasn't a good game to begin with and because of the shape of the box it was often placed somewhere other than where all the other Wii games were.
Bad game + bad placing = bad sales.

Quick question ck. What casual games are you refering to as the ones that sell extremely well?
Mario Party 8? Because as the 8 might tell you, it's a long established franchise that always sold fairly well.
Rayman Raving Rabbids? Because that's just an awesome game, regardless of what demographic label we use.
Wii Sports? Because pack in issues asside, it's also an incredibly new different and involving type of game. Easily the most important game of the last few years.
To be honest, I can't think of a single new "casual" game that has sold well inspite of quality.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.
Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
It was fun for a month or two but then got really boring.
Hahaha... Doesn't that describe even the best of sim or strategy games? Saying "it only captivated me for 2 months" doesn't sound like much of an insult.

Sounds to me like you have to re-evaluate what you think "Wii is all about." Sales numbers appear to indicate that it's about everything from Zelda to Mario Party, Red Steel to Rayman Rabbids, and Big Brain Academy to RE4.
"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."
Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
Why are people still focusing soley on a single reviewers score? The game has 3 9+ reviews and 2 sub-7 reviews. The complaints here seem to be its like AC and repetitive while the reviews that gave it great scores did so because it's like AC. I think that shows if you're into the AC/Sims type of game you're going to really like this one but if you're not into that kind of game MySims isn't going to convince you.
As a side, they docked points because it's cliched? I can't wait to see how many points Halo 3 loses for being "cliche", "a sequel", "done before", "too much like the first two", "not original", etc.. Yeah, I know, no points will be deducted.

i love that other people have the same avatar as me..=P
Mysims look boring to me so IDC

That actually sounds more up my alley. In the final 6 mundane months I played Star Wars Galaxies, All I ever did was redesign my Museum over and over again, only thing I enjoyed any more. Typically in the Sims itself I always found keeping up relationships kinda annoying, and usually enjoyed designing my house and buying pricy crap more. |
I was always the opposite. All my houses in the sims were boring and mundane because I never put any effort into building them. My girlfriend would just love building houses and made some incredible looking houses for my Sims to live in, but all I liked doing was playing the game.
Which is why I think MySims would be more for her and not me. And I'm sure MySims would be the type of Sims game that you would enjoy as well

Well if I compare the time I spent with AC and Sims well... I can say it's an insult... I've been playing Sims since the first one... That's how long it lasts and I still play Sims. Animal Crossing, after 2 months, I didn't feel like continuing the game because I didn't thought there was much to do and I found it boring.
