zelda games just seem to give people a since of wonder and exploration.

the creator of the series, shigeru miyamoto, often said he was originally inspired to make the legend of zelda from exploring the many caves and other features around his home [he lived in an area with beautiful and varied scenery] he wanted to make a game where players could just have fun exploring in.

which game do i play first? cheers.

the frist one then ocarina of time ,majora's mask then finally twilight princess DONT play The Adventure of Link

I heard that was a bad game?

no, it wasn't a bad game... just...

UNGODLY BALLS IN BLENDER BREAKING SKULL AGAINST BRICK WALL FOTHERF---ING HARD!!!!!

so don't play it unless your prepared to suffer the consequences lol.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

yes, this is vonboy's alt account. i can't log into my original account, and i'm not sure if i will ever be able to.

start with ocarina of time, experiencing that game for the first time is something special.

I would start with either LoZ, or Ocarina of Time. It all depends on if you have the patience to trek through the original games, or if you want to get right into the 3D games.

If you can somehow get your hands on A Link to the Past, that would be a great place to start as well.

I'd go with the first game, AKA The Legend of Zelda for the NES. Then move on to Ocarina of Time, then Majora's Mask.

I wouldn't bother really with Adventure of Link. While it was a great game it's just too hard to play, especially nowadays.

EDIT: And to answer your question, the Zelda series is so great because it's the complete package of a game. Great music, gameplay, story, atmosphere, graphics (for their time), immersion and fun factor.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Are you serious? Boy have you missed out. I think the reason people love Zelda so much because the games always have the most amazing bosses to fight. The storyline gets better every single game. I think the first time you will play this you will experience a joy ride you never been on before.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

I was exited too but when I poped in the cd to play it on the cdi.It suckd all three games! I did not like it! I have no idea why people love the franchise.

bunch of panseys, Adventure of Link is not that hard. ;) i just beat it about 4 months ago, its a great game.

I would play the N64 games in order first, then go back and play the older games in order. Big difference is in the older games I would recommend getting a clean (i.e. non filled out map) so you can label where things are and where you've been.

The new games include maps ingame whereas the older ones had a clean map in the box. Don't cheat by looking online for filled in maps. Real men don't cheat.
