I would prefer a new FE Wii game. I think they could do some nice things on a Wii version. I doubt they spent a lot of time making the recent FE DS game, its basically a direct port of a 10 year old game with an english translation. This means they could have had tons of time working on a new Wii engine/artwork/story, since I highly doubt these guys were busy doing any work on the DS port.

Soren is better at 20/20/20. Illy has higher def, and Soren has higher magic. Personally, I prefer the extra 3 def (I don't use heavy units, so all my units offtank each other), but most people don't. It comes down to playtype, but Soren generally fits the mage playtype better.

This is a case where you can't compare 20/20 and 20/20/20.
For example, at 20/20/15, Soren has already capped Magic at 40 however Ilyana is likely still at 35. Soren's late-game availability also makes it much easier for him to take a level lead over Ilyana. All characters turn out well at 20/20/20 in RD (unlike some other FE games). It's the trip there that makes all the difference.

Maybe if she had goddess-like powers I wouldn't have to waste all that time leveling her up to actually be any good. I'll just stick with Soren as its much easier to level him.

yea thats the whole thing about the game, sure in Path of Radiance Rolf can become way awesome, but you have to baby him for so long or use BEXP. and doing this means not leveling others up or BEXP to others. it is best to just use Shinon cause he starts high good stats. less work, and can't be screwed by rng

Never take the RNG for granted. I've been screwed over too many times with the GBA games to take anything for granted.
yea the worst feeling in the world is when you level someone up and not one stat goes up.
not so bad when its real early in the level cause you can just reset, but usually after a bunch of people already leveled, or way late in level and don't want to do some 1 long or more level over again just to get a chance at better stats and possibly worse for others
