As a movie enthusiasts, I would have said yes.......
As a gamer...... HELL NO!
I went with 360 because of the games, price, and Live.
I wanted a choice for the price, not a price without a choice.

NO because microsoft would have to pay royalty fees to sony, I rather have them use DVD 2.0

How do you think us PS3 owners feel that we have to get half assed games because of the size limitations of the DVD9 in the 360. It sucks playing a game like GTA4 with only 30 hours of stuff in it knowing that it could have been 3 times longer if they would have made it PS3 only
No, I would of paid $100 extra for something that I would rarely use.

no.... because i fail to see the point of a medium that is not going to last very long and is not a major step up over its predecessor. movies on solid state and dl are the future.

If their where actually a ton of good Blu-ray movies for under $15 then it would be great if the 360 would have a Blu-ray drive. Right now Blu-ray movies are still to expensive for my blood I'm not spending over $25 dollars for a movie no matter how good it is. I only broke that rule once when I bought the Criterion edition of Spartacus for $34.99.
nah.
Most movies I watch in theaters or by other means...I really would not be buying blurays at all.

Funny that you used GTAIV as an example. By all accounts, Rockstar and Take Two were in MAJOR financial strife before Microsoft fronted them the $50 million DLC loan. Not the least of reasons was the sheer cost of developing such a huge game for PS3.
Indeed, the loan allowed them to develop more material and make a better game. Without it they may well have been forced to release a half done game just to keep afloat.
The costs the PS3 brings to the gaming business inhibit development long before DVD9 does in the majority of cases.
