For me the 360 reminds me of 3 consoles, the Super Nintendo because both consoles controllers have stiff d-pads and the top of the 360 looks almost flat which reminds me of the overall box-like look of the Super Nintendo.

The 360 also reminds me of the PSONE, the 360s two memory card slots on the front of the system reminds me of the two memory card slots on the PSONE.

And finally the Sega Dreamcast, the 360s color and simple design reminds me of the Sega Dreamcast.

The Phillips CDi because the games all suck.

Sega Dreamcast, definitely.

Please. The Dreamcast is my favorite console and the 360 is one of my least favorite. The 360 doesn't resemble the DC at all.

Clearly the Dreamcast.

1. Online play ahead of its current-gen competition.
2. Lack of "next-gen" storage device some of the competition had.
3. Launched earlier than its competition
4. Earlier launch led to price cuts that put it much cheaper than other systems.
5. Piracy issues.
6. Early skepticism from 3rd parties (mainly Japanese 3rd parties with 360 due to failure of original xbox in Japan, while Sega has problems with US publishers like EA - something Mircrosoft has been able to partially overcome that Sega wasn't)

The Xbox because it's made by the same company.

Xbox, same company and the same genre's are popular on it.

Ever since buying 360 just for phantasy star universe...I've always thought the 360 was the spiritual successor to dreamcast.. and I even had hardware problems with the dreamcast (which mine also had over heating problems) ...plus like the 360 the Dreamcast had a noisy cd drive..
