Ok I expec the ps3 to sell 4 million units from now too january 31st 2008, and expect that once the $399.99 price is brought to the ps3 it will outsell the 360 3 to 1 WW. And rival the current WW wii numbers.

I'm sorry Leo but 3 to 1 off a price cut is just wildly optimistic. PS3 needs a price cut and games to catch up. A price cut alone and MS just slashes their price again, keeping the Pro well over $100 less than the PS3. Nothing changes in comparison while both systems get a sales boost.
MGS will help but won't solve anything. Sony needs FFXIII, MGS, GT5, and more to start gaining ground. With FFXIII looking more and more like a 2009 release while Lost Odyssey is hitting in 2008, MS just has more time to build that lead. Combine that with the ass-kicking Halo is about to dish out and things aren't pretty for the PS3.
Ultimately I think Sony will close the gap but I think it will be too little, too late and MS will hold on to second place.

Well, thanks for posting your thoughts. I think 4M units through Jan 31 2008 at the current price structure is a tad optimistic, but We'll see when we get there. If the PS3 does sell that many units based on a price cut I do suspect the 360 to be right there with them. Your 3:1 sales estimate would certainly have to hold true for a 2K8 catch-up to the 360 and the numbers will have to be significant -- i.e. pushing out close to 1M units/month on average all of next year. Point is, you put out your opinion and stood by it with your numbers. Thanks.

I have both consoles and TBH, there is alot more I'm looking forward to on the PS3 than the 360.
For 360 - Eternal Sonata (timed-exclusive only), Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Ninja Gaiden 2, Cry On, DOA. Maybe Mass Effect
For PS3 - Folklore, R&C TOD, GT5:P, GT5 Full, White Knight Story, MGS4, GOW 3, Heavenly Sword 2&3 (beat 1 already, it's awesome), FF XIII, FFVXIII, SO4, Disgaea 3, Tekken 6, LBP.
FYI for Wii - SSB, SMG, and Mario Kart, and whatever proper Zelda game. Maybe RE: UC
