I'm sorry Leo but 3 to 1 off a price cut is just wildly optimistic. PS3 needs a price cut and games to catch up. A price cut alone and MS just slashes their price again, keeping the Pro well over $100 less than the PS3. Nothing changes in comparison while both systems get a sales boost.
MGS will help but won't solve anything. Sony needs FFXIII, MGS, GT5, and more to start gaining ground. With FFXIII looking more and more like a 2009 release while Lost Odyssey is hitting in 2008, MS just has more time to build that lead. Combine that with the ass-kicking Halo is about to dish out and things aren't pretty for the PS3.
Ultimately I think Sony will close the gap but I think it will be too little, too late and MS will hold on to second place.
