Your line is probably symmetric rather than the usually asymmetric that people usually have. This means that the Download and Upload are the same, or close in speed.
some of you guys have fairly poor upload speed compared to your download speed. I used to get 20 down, 5 up, which wasn't too shabby. Now I have 10 down 1 up. I miss the 5 up

everything over a 1MB/s is pretty good for wii online games except for fighters need a higher band with than you got.DBZBT 3 is my example of reference
I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

alot of speedtest hosts suck. Test using Dallas, TX's host.

no, I was forced to switch from Verizon Fios to Road Runner. 10 down 1 up is their standard now. With Fios I always pegged exactly at what they said I got because you actually have a dedicated fiber line to your house. Road Runner obviously uses 1 cable for TV, phone, and internet, which causes them to sometimes lag slower than the promised speeds if everyone on your cable is active at the same time.

Better than I thought it would be.

honestly, you only need a solid 56k connection to play most games online. I used to play America's Army all the time on a 56k and it worked pretty dang good. Of course, if anyone loaded a single text web page on another PC I was screwed

disconnects are caused by packet dropout, not slow speed. (edit: some games do kick you for slow speed/high ping, but I doubt Dr. Mario does)
oh, and I'm ashamed of you not knowing it is called "Doctor Mario" not "the mario doctor game"
