Forums - Microsoft - Do You Cheat Your Acheivements Were Possible ........

Or do you enjoy the buzz of earning them yourself.

I mean I dont include walkthroughs in this as they are just a help really.

What I mean is if it is possible to gain a few points by bashing a few buttons will you go for it?

I have not done so yet but I have to admit it could be tempting.

So do you?

Umm.... Has anyone gotten the skulls on Halo 3 without a guide?

Come on, now. :P

Besides that, I haven't used guides or anything for any of the other achievements I've unlocked. If you click on the achievement though, doesn't it tell you a pretty blatant description of what to do? That's what I've noticed....

Yes but I noticed in Brothers In arms you could cheat the time played acheivement by re setting the clock.

So I wondered was there many more cheats out there that folks avail of?

Some of my friends sometimes buy/rent kids games in hopes of easier achievements, I don't know whether you'd consider that cheating.

Kind of... I didn't really have the time, so to beat Gears of War 2 on the hardest difficulty, I was playing as player 1 on casual, though when my brother was free he took control of player 1, while player 2 played on hardcore, but I could have beat it on my own, it was just a matter of saving time

I did download Dash for Destruction, which feels like cheating, but it was quite fun for the half and hour it took to complete

I haven't actually cheated properly, but with Infinite Undiscovery's play for 40 hours achievement, I did leave my Xbox on, though I still haven't finished that game

I always use guides, I don't really want to waste time, because I have a lot of games to play!!

Oh, and if I rented something like Avatar, well that would just be a stain on my gamercard!

i wasnt aware there was even cheating for achievements but if i came across it and it was easy to do i probably would

Long Live SHIO!

I must say, even though you feel like an achievement whore, it is quite fun to play for 30 mins

I tried playing Dash of Destruction, but I failed the mission with the second dinosaur..... after that I felt like an absolute failure and never booted the game again.
