The reason you don't hear MS hyping next year is because they have the catalog now. The reason you do hear Sony hyping next year, is because that's when their best games will be coming out.
Why would MS want to promote '08 when they '07 Holiday lineup is killer? Halo, Mass Effect and throw in any other game and it slaughters what PS3 has coming out before Christmas.
