wow...do you also have a huch that sony will go bankrupt by wasting all their money on price drops and advertising?
Because that is the hunch i have
1. no price cut
2. eyepet = family gaming
3. more money required for more aggressive marketing, but if the console is still at loss or breaking even, where does the money come from?
4. what if 360 or wii drop their price?
but...
1. they have a strong line up off exclusives
2. we may see a price cut q3 or q4
3. they may get gta5 as an exclusive and drop it as a megaton like how ms and s.e screwed them last year.
4. the price cut may come with a new ps3 model
5. the new marketing head may not be a moron
6. ms may not be able to respond to quality exclusives like u2, kz2 and gow3
7. 360 storage issue may cause 360 to look weak
8. ms may get sued some more since they are being investigated by watchdog and trading standards for rrod, disc scrating and e74
9. pigs may start to fly

they are in precarious condition, but i think they will come out of it stronger.
DO NOTE: I m not saying that PS3 is going to over take X360 by the end of this yr or next yr or they will start outselling Wii by 2x. I am just saying that they r going to be giving much more tougher time to competition in the later half of this yr.

Yes, because MS really showed the world how bad a decision it was to lower the price and advertise heavily, really cost them a great deal of sales. Or are there separate rules for every company? Just curious.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
inFamous Shocks Us With Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta
he switch on Sony's "electrifying announcement" may have just been flipped, as a Best Buy pre-order box for inFamous reveals the existence of a multiplayer beta test for Uncharted 2.
Yesterday Sony began teasing "an electrifying announcement" to take place on April 27th regarding both Sucker Punch's inFamous and Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Today a reader sent us this photo of a batch of newly opened Best Buy pre-order placeholder boxes for inFamous, which indicate that not only do pre-orders score players early access to the inFamous demo, they also receive a voucher for entry into the multiplayer beta test for Uncharted 2.
They key word here is multiplayer. Announcing that the sequel to one of the best single-player games on the PlayStation 3 is adding a multiplayer component certainly qualifies as electrifying. I'm certain we'll hear much more on this come April 27th.

That is another positive development from Sony. Attracting gamers to new genre with free Beta offers. Its more interesting as it is between two different studios. So definitely they are trying and making good efforts. I m sure it will also help push, although not much, but few Infamous boxes.
I think it is done first time by the Sony, although MS has used it with their games.

So you don't even think Sony will have a strong E3?
If a price cut comes, Samsung will be buying out Sony cuase they just can't afford to do it as they have lost so much money.
I agree with some of the other stuff though.
