Action based RPG's.

Give me some damn TURN based ones.

YES! I remember when action based RPGs were called ADVENTURE GAMES! They are not RPGs!

Adventure was the "Other" genre.

Is it sports?  sim?  racing?  strategy?  puzzle?  No.

Is it a turn-based RPG?  No.

Is it action?  No.

It's adventure then.

It pretty much existed only because being an RPG had somehow come to be synonymous with turn-based stuff.

I don't like the whole recharging health bar in every single FPS now. Its just a personal preference, really, but I just don't like it. I prefer the one used in Resistance: Fall of Man, which is a very good balance. I also hate the whole "you can only have two weapons at a time" in FPS games. The game I have the biggest problem with for doing this is Resistance 2. Seriously, Insomniac? One of the reasons why I liked R:FoM so much was because I could keep all of my weapons. That made the game more unique.

Yes to both of these. Stop making FPS games simple and casual.

QTEs - enough already, they're shit, even in God of War, and distract from the game

Exclusive DLC - either make the game exclusive and commit to a single platform or don't, especially when only making extra bits available on one platform, but don't mess the end consumer around with this stuff

Timed exclusives - again, either commit to exclusive or don't, but don't mess the end consumer around with this stuff

Really annoying fanboys (or fanfolk to be gender neutral) - friendly rivalry and ribbing is one thing, but enough with the extreme console support already, it's stupid

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I think that it is amazing how fast QTEs have fallen out of favor. It seems like everyone loved them in RE 4 (which launched in 2005).

Overly Long Cut Scenes: I just want to play my game.

Quick Time Events: It was clever when it first started out, but we're at a point where it's just uninspired and takes you out of the game.

Long Loading Times: Speaking of taking you out of the game...

View that Split-Screen is "Last Gen" Having fun with your friends isn't "last gen".

Hardcore vs. Casual: Because fun can't be defined by either of those labels.

I just want to be clear I've NEVER loved, liked or remotely enjoyed QTEs.  I fell out of favour with them the first second I encountered them!

I was about to post the same thing as the OP

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

I know not everyone loved them!

All the reviewers seemed to love them in RE 4 though.
