Store pre-order or costumer pre-order?

Seems like store preorder, because he said the store has more copies than usual.

Remember what happened with the Killzone 2 preorder deal?

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

It's good to see people are starting not to buy garbage.

Wow... there is just no shame in a journalist's games nowadays. They want Nintendo to fail so bad, or at least, go back to last place, that they'll point to anything as a sign of doom - even first day sales of Deca Sporta 2.

It's getting ridiculous.

Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter G both debuted to ~120k on PS2. This version includes a Monster Hunter 3 demo...the preorders are over 70,000 now using our most conservative extrapolator (i.e. the store has a relatively large share of the number of games sold compared to usual) and using the extrapolator for the other big Capcom game on Wii in Japan (RE: UC in Nov 2007) the preorders are already over 100,000.

So going by the preliminary data we get and I wouldn't be surprised if it comes in well over 100,000 week one, and at a bare minimum it is going to come in over 70,000/75,000

How well is killzone 2 doing pre order wise?

The Monster Hunter Wii version???? Costumer preorders or store preorder???

man if monster hunter g flops then ok, but japanese are smart, they will buy games that deserve to be bought. And rarely do games leg out in japan thankfully for this one

The gaming media is so hypocritical these days.

Somewhat of an overreaction but people are looking at this too lightly. If Nintendo crashes, the gaming market in general crashes. Especially in Japan where Sony and MS have both proven they don't have what it takes this generation to take over what they have built. In America and Europe it could equal something quite similar. This is not something people should wish for.

Luckily there isn't much to even speculate about such a large even based off Deca Sports 2 being a commercial failure in Japan.

thats not true, if you are telling us both ps3 and 360 can't sell third party.which is what moves the market.

if nintendo were to disappear their third party support get some where else.

I think he's trying to say Nintendo would not be able to attract new users and VGs would only be able to attract normal gamers. Sony used to attract new users with PS1/PS2 but with PS3 not so much. MS never really did. So their direction is pretty cloudy if they'd ever attract new people. Of course someone like Apple would come in though and they *COULD* do what Nintendo did.

thats because of the high price.

sony still the same brand with the same games and new ones like LBP. whats damaging ps3 it's the console high price.

Honestly, there is no difference then when it happens with the PS3 and the 360...This week may have been Nintendo Hate Week but there's a monthly article on the PS3 failing and before the price cut, it was the 360 that all the journalists were writing. I don't agree with journalists doing this at all but it's not just the Wii that gets singled out for the journalists articles on video games being doomed.

I'm not saying that the Wii gets it's 'hate-week' more or less often than the PS3, but rather, it gets hated on for much more trivial reasons.  Just this week we have doom-and-gloom articles based on three things:

- Wii sales 120k less in March '09 than March '08 - the Wii is doomed

- MadWorld < 70k - the Wii is doomed

- Deca Sporta 2 ~ 2.5k day one - the Wii is doomed

- GTA:CW 90k - the DS is doomed

When the PS3 has a 'hate-week', it's due to it's price being high or TRUE high-profile games not performing as expected... something truly worrisome.  None of the stories this week for the Wii hate have been news worthy at all.
