Forums - Gaming - Does anyone just have one of the next-gen consoles?

Wii only. It makes more sense for me to spend money buying games, rather than (additional) new hardware. Plus I only have so much time for gaming.

When the 360 gets cheap enough (i.e. around $200AU or so), I will probably pick one up - and borrow a bunch of games from friends to play.

(I ended up with a XBOX for $50AU, and never even turned it on...)

Danmit!

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

I have all three, haven't played the wii since Twilight Princess and my 360 has not been touched in a long time(saving it up for Halo 3, No red ring) and i've been playing the PS3 the most just because of Warhawk.

"I could make Halo. It's not that I couldn't design that game. It's just that I choose not to. One thing about my game design is that I never try to look for what people want and then try to make that game design." - Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto

I only own a Wii but will likely get an iPod Nano after the next update (hey, not only does it play games but it also comes with 3 of them) and a PS3 when it goes below $300.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)

That sentence made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Ignoring the fact thet they are no longer "Next Gen" but "This Gen", I have a Wii and only a Wii. If I had to pick a second... I'd pick 360, but, instead, I will just buy more Wii games (there are still many on the shelves that I wish to have) AND, All of the "360 Exclusives" always come to PC within 6 months, and I prefer a mouse for FPS's over Analog sticks personally, AND I CAN USE A WiiMote ON MY PC!!! So, I would probably buy some more RAM (1 GB and 128 MB to be exact), A NVIDIA Graphics card, and borrow Vista from my friend before I would buy a 360.

I have a PS3. I'm more tempted to get a 360 than the wii, I'm not into casual gaming.

"I don't believe anyone walks into a game store with $600 in their pocket and wonders what console to buy." -President of Worldwide studios Phil Harrison "Nintendo Wii has been a successful enterprise, and a very good business compared with ours, because it's cheaper." -Sony chairman and CEO Howard Stringer

@L.C.E.L Uhm Gears of war did not released within 6 months ^__^'' but you right for the most games if you mean the shooters/FPS exlusives.

I only have a Wii. It has the most games I want and thus obviously the best games per dollar ratio for me. I was thinking about getting a 360 but I'm beginning to lean towards sticking with my PC (it's a laptop so I can play it out of the house also). Most of the 360 games I want will be on the PC at some point so no real reason spend $500 or so on it. This is expecially since I don't have enough time to divide between 2 home gaming platforms at the same time anymore.
