Forums - Nintendo - Did you hear about the Ghost Busters Wii version?

umm this was announced when the game was first made public. Way to be 2 years late to the party.

Besides, the Wii version will have local multiplayer, where the HD versions won't. Pick your poison.

There's a difference between "kid friendly" and "family friendly."

The greatest success of the Wii has been getting the whole family to play games together. Sure some games are just for kids, but now there are games for kids to play with their parents together. And there are still games like No More Heroes, Resident Evil 4, and MadWorld, which would never in a million years be on "a kids console."

If you've seen a Ghostbusters movie, you might remember that it was an awesome movie for the whole family, not just for kids, and also not just for adults. It was also not very realistic (it's about busting ghosts by the way). In fact, the 3rd movie will be animated.

And you just named off half of the games on the console that are aimed at the 18-35 year old male demo.

I like the way the Wii version looks better than the PS360 version honestly. I was neer a big one for photo-realistic graphics, and the art style for the Wii version really fits the goofy atmosphere of the Ghostbusters in general. Don't let that slow you down from the trolling though.

:D

Now how about we all stop making wild accusations about a game we haven't played. I'm not going to insist that the Wii version is better, because  don't know enough. However, the art style of the Wii one is awesome, and it apparently will have some good exclusive features so it may turn out to be the best version

When the fuck did i say that? This whole thread is about treating the wii with some damn respect, but all you people see to do is say "Oh its ok that that the devlopers are not trying very hard, we just love to bend over and take it." The game will probably be fun, but its a matter of principal, you Wii apoligist, who NEVER critize the wii for all the many flaws it has, are the biggest problem.

I love gaming, most likely more than you, and i actually care about the state of the industry. So screw you for accusing me of being closed minded. Go back to playing your shovelware and pretending its something better.

Obviously you are having issues with understanding that it's not a bad thing that the ghostbusters doesn't look like the console version. Have you seen the gameplay for the Wii version? Does it look that bad? I mean it's not as though they are trying to make a crappy game like Quantum of Solace and claim that it's amazing. They are making a version that looks different because it will flow better.

And don't get bitchy with me just because nobody is agreeing with your view on the wii version looking terrible. I might even get the wii version depending on what I think of it when I see more stuff on it. I enjoy gaming too but before I jump to conclusions on whether a game is going to suck or not, I'd rather wait and see more information on it. Also, you don't know me or any of the games I play and if you consider them to be "shovelware" then so be it, I'm proud of the shovelware I play. At least I have fun with it.

I never said the game was gonna suck. My problem is with the developers thinking that they have to make there game look that way on the wii, which is a lie. This whole thing would not be a problem if the HD versions did not exist, but they do and it shos me exactly how Atari is thinking. As a Wii owner that scares and infuriates me.

This will become a trend, just you wait.

I understand your concern for it but at the same time, I don't think it's going to end up that way. Each company has their own way they go about doing things and I hate to say it but Atari aren't exactly what i would consider to be one of the big dogs anymore. Their last big multiplatform game (Alone in the Dark) did TERRIBLE and looked even worse. I can see why Atari wanted to go for a change. This is assuming it wasn't the plan all along back before the activision/vivendi merger (which I think it was actually).

Technically this was an Activision game, before the sold the rights off to Atari.

Only in your mind, in other normal peoples minds and non trolls minds it´s both a kid console and an adault console and a family console.

It´s all of them while the other two only are one of the three.

Spongebob is a kids cartoon, yet adults like it. THAT DOES NOT MEAN ITS AN ADULT SHOW.

With game adaptations like this the Wii will always be seen as a kids console, and the fact that they opted to make the game look that way while the other versions look more realistic is a slap in the face to every Wii owner, but fortunatly for them most Wii owners are ignorant or masochist.

It´s only a slap in the face for you, if you bothered reading the posts in your own thread you would have seen the majoroty prefer the wii style for this game.

So do I, I am all for realism but for this game realism kills it and the cartoonish style they went for really makes the game greater then the others then add the controlls of the Wii wich the others are lacking then you got the game jsut as it should be.

If it was another game like GTA then you would have an issue but now you don´t and you only continue to flame and troll and it shows it gets to you that noone bites and thinks you are wrong, Accept you are in minority on this subject and go in instead of continuing trolling.

For gods sake you are even arguing with one of the people that has been making this game and even though he tells you it´s not kiddy port or anything else negative you still continue, so far in the press as i´ve read the Wii version is the one and you still bitch.

I still don't think it's going to change everything about the gaming industry if this game looks the way it does. It still doesn't mean that it's going to be a bad game either.

The game could have been just as good without the art style.

Hey, you're the one who called it a kid's console.  There's also Manhunt 2, which was rated AO until they toned down the gore and torture, and it's not on either of the HD consoles.  That game alone proves you wrong.

Can you imagine if Capcom did that to their Dead Rising and RE4 remakes?

They would have been the laughing stock of the industry.

"You are small time."

As opposed to all of the reviews that made dead rising for the wii a laughing stock? I'd rather a chibi version of dead rising then a game that looks like they were struggling when making it. Actually...I'd rather have a chibi version of dead rising in general. It would be awesome.

Any chibi zombie game would be immediately magnetized into my game collection.  That would be so sweet.  I think we could use a thread to ask people which zombie game would be best in a chibi version.

If both versions looked realistic, the Wii version would get unfairly compared to the 360 and PS3 versions.
