I have been noticing a trend recently...........please let me know if I am going crazy.

Just recently (after the recent NPD numbers changed some sales numbers) several retaliatory threads talking about how aggressive Sony fans seem to be were created, including others talking about how Sony fanboys were wrong...ect....ect. I noticed an amusing if not interesting occurrence on the site. There were new over-the-top "aggressive" fanboy Xbox 360 threads created......from a newly created account.........hmmmm......interesting, coincidence.....??????.

Are people taking this stuff so seriously they create alt accounts to breed hate against the opposition?

It got me thinking. I wouldn't put it past diehard fans of the opposing consoles to create accounts claiming to be fans of the console they hate, just to get people thinking that "insert console here" fanboys are worse than there own fans. Then.......... create new threads spreading over-the-top "My (console) is the shizzzznite" topics bashing the other console.

Personally, I feel that this just breeds more hate towards a specific group, and isn't really productive in the community.

This generation has been one that, regardless of console owned, you really cant be unhappy as a gamer. As a fanboy.....perhaps......but gamer......NO! All 3 consoles have there strengths and weaknesses but unfortunately, it seems that there are few who sees it this way........

I have seen lots and lots of "new" accounts posts that do nothing but troll.

I think that it happens.

But I can think of other reasons too. Like maybe they are being harrassed or afraid they will be. Or maybe they are closet fans of an unpopular system.

Yeah people usually make alt accounts to troll, and their are alot of them lately

I believe that hateful fanboys make troll accounts to troll on their favorite system, making the people from the other system that they actually hate look bad.
