U don't get it..sony had to pay the price for doing the stuff last gen with ps2 that eventually led them to huge success...but now according to Sony hardware PR 3rd party exclusivity has been declared as non functional..they are no longer interested in luring 3rd party exclusivities which doesn't mean that MS has rights to continue owing to ps2. They are assisting every single 3rd party devs to keep the lead. And u can't deny it..

This line explains just how retarded Sony is.  They won the last 2 generations by immense third party support, and now that they are far behind, they claim to not need it and have shifted to first party.

Microsoft is assisting third parties just the same as Sony.  The only other times MS has anything to do with it is with DLC.

And what are you even trying to say in that red section?  Seriously for a "game analyser", which analyzer is spelled wrong by the way, you don't know your stuff.

Well i mite be not so  grammatically sharp as u..but i can still correct myself with such suggestions.

On topic.. Sony wants to prove that this gen even w/o third party they will be able to stay in the market, just not being retarded but playing fair. If u can convince me by end of 2009 that sales of 360 would surge to a gap of more than 20 million, then they are looting all from (retarded)Sony this gen the way ps2 did over GC and xbox. By saying the rate @ which console's h/w sales hover around ps3 range I don't consider any luck. Maybe a slim 360 mite stand chance..who knows..we will c.

What do u mean by that?

I meant Sony deliberately dropped  3rd party exclusivity to play fair. Moreover they are not intending  to waste a declining revenue over ps3 production costs by trying to lure 3rd party devs..

What 3rd party exclusivity did they drop deliberately? They have had less 3rd party support with very few 3rd party exclusives this whole generation.

They dropped it because they saw how the 3rd party games were almost always selling much better on the 360 and that the only games that sold well on PS3 were first party titles.

WHAT?!, where u been in the last 4 months with all ps3 multiplatform selling better on the ps3 than the 360?

even killzone 2 sold better than halo wars something i thought it was not possible.

What exclusive released for PS3 was as big as Halo3????

Shit, MGS4 was the closest we had to Gears and Gears 2....

X360 has only had 3 big exclusive* games (Halo 3, Gears of War 2 and Fable 2) in three and a half years. PS3 has had 15 big exclusive* titles that have not reduced the sales gap on X360.

*Exclusive to that system only and not on PC.

PS3 only has Gran Turismo 5 left as being a game that could change things a little but it will not be enough. God of War 3  will sell well but it is no system seller. Even a PS3 price cut in late 2009 could not turn around a 10 million+ sales deficit.

Third party support>> First party support.

360 has much better third party support than PS3. X360 gets more DLC than PS3 for multi-platform games. Multi-platform games sell much better on X360 than PS3 due to X360 larger install base in the western world. Last generation PS2 had all those extra third party exclusive titles that gave it the unbeatable edge over its competitor XBox and GameCube. Now the third party developers are putting  games on other platforms: XBox 360 and Wii due to the change in market shares from last generation. Strong third party support gives X360 edge over PS3.

Wait a minute. Late time I checked, the PS3 was also getting exclusives titles, exclusive DLC, and better versions of third party offerings.  It's a gave and take that invalidates the highlighed statement.

What GameAnayler is saying was that SONY decided to op not to pay for third party exclusives.  Now I don't think they did it to "play fair," but I think they did it to help with their own 1st and 2nd party efforts along with potentially gaming more money off of their 1st and 2nd party titles over royalties from them paying for third party exclusives.

Really?  The last thing that sticks out in my mind was RA3 Ultimate Edition or whatever it was called.  Other than that I can't think of any exclusive DLC from a third party or better version or actual exclusive titles from 3rd parties.  I don't really pay attention to that stuff, though

How do u account for sales of Street fighter iv, Resident Evil 5, NFs undercover released in last 4-5 months after stating that highlighted portion...killzone 2 and MGs4 did their job well..we are to expect more exclusives like those

Are you implying that a title has to absolutely sell better on another platform to be classified as "sold well???"  Why can't a 3rd party titles have sold less on the PS3 while also still have "sold well?"  And that's not counting titles such as Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, and Tomb Raider Underworld which all sold better on the PS3.  And even if it didn't, it could have still had "sold well."
