The future iterations still would thus mean more for both consoles. NFS undercover almost tied despite ps3 getting the lazier port of the game. Not the point.  But the issue here is that you are cherry picking just your personal preferences.  Just because you "really don't see as something all important" doens't mean that that title didn't "sold well" on the PS3.  See where your biasness gets in the way?

I'm cherry picking?  I believe it was you two whom brought up these limited recent examples.  I am merely commenting on it.  And having a personal opinion does not make me bias or a fanboy.

To the bolded:  You left out the critical word "I" from that quote.  I am allowed to have this opinion.  I never once stated it was the opinion of others, or that because of my opinion everyone else had to also believe the way I did.

Third party support>> First party support.

360 has much better third party support than PS3. X360 gets more DLC than PS3 for multi-platform games. Multi-platform games sell much better on X360 than PS3 due to X360 larger install base in the western world. Last generation PS2 had all those extra third party exclusive titles that gave it the unbeatable edge over its competitor XBox and GameCube. Now the third party developers are putting  games on other platforms: XBox 360 and Wii due to the change in market shares from last generation. Strong third party support gives X360 edge over PS3.

Do you really love bashing the PS3 all the time? Does your 360 keep you warm at night or something?

You are bad at this game.  Thinking you know what I mean or think is your first mistake.

Also, I asked for examples of 5 recent ones that outsold the PS3 version.  After I received 3 examples, one of which was a tie so it did not answer my question, I replied to those with factual statements.  Trying to cherry pick the best, but led to me giving reasons why those just don't really work all too well.  My question was only actually truly answered by CGI-Quality, who knows me much better than you.... and even then he "technically" didn't fully answer it since one was a tie, but it started out better on PS3 so I accepted it.

Please put an end to this foolishness

It's good for SONY that the PS3 is still in the race, and it's undeniable that they are doing better than any console maker in third place in console history in part because of the software support.  I still don't see how it's so sad.  And you might have responed to my arguments, but you never countered anything.  You never proved how it's "sad."  You never proved how selling less on another console is not "sold well."  You never "countered" my 75% argument, and not accepting a response when it's legit is only blowing it off and not countering.  Oh, well.  I'm just glad console gaming is a joy in my life to where I don't have to resort to falsehoods for enjoyment.

You are so amusing.  Fighting so hard to prove me wrong and yet I am the one not at peace here.  You have what is called an "overly optimistic" view of Sony and it's standings.  Nothing wrong with that at all, but being so optimistic can lead to...... wait for it....... bias.  Gah I said it!

Point is Microsoft is a bigger company which can market more and put more money into etc. Do people expect Sony to keep up? Sony is an eletronics company not a software company ;)

Games don't mean console sales this gen, I thought everybody already knew this. Not saying it applies here, but its the truth.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I honestly don't think thats the problem.  Usueally when a company is small and they want to compete with a larger company they advertise even more than said larger company does.  Look at the Apple commercials as examples of what I am getting at.  Apple is clearly gaining marketshare because of their advertising prowess.

 

The PS2 clearly ruined Sony in a few ways.  When Sony was dominating the world (with the PS2) there really was no need to  advertise a lot for it.  They dominated and there was nothing going to stop that.

But since the PS3 come out they still have a PS2 mentality.   Which has gotten Sony into so much crap.  They are no longer the big boy on the block and need to get out and be "hungry" again, and I honestly don't see it in them now.
