Pretty shocking for Deca Sporta 2, it got good score in Famitsu, and the first one sold 270,000 (66,000) week one.

Horrible, horrible (games) sellthroughs all round.
Was the FFVIIAC effect that big?

Horrible first day sales. WTF?!

I really don't know what happened. Hitman sold pretty well on PSP (25,000 first week IIRC), and DECA SPORTA 2 sales speak for themselves.

The only game that sold decently (and that's a stretch) is Pangya Fantasy Golf.

Can you make a new thread like the one BKK did last week? Same thread title and posts reserved for Famitsu (where you can put the first day sales), MC and (if you want) Dengeki?

That way we'll get consistent Japan sales threads. Between you and BKK I don't care who's OP.

Looks like Wii is really dying in Japan. Not a single non Nintendo release is doing impressive anymore in Japan and I doubt MH3 will be that much of an effect. I bet SE might be rubbing behind their ears if announcing DQX on the Wii was really such a great idea after all. Never have I seen such horrible software sales on the PS2.

Look at The Dog Island Wii for example... sold only a few copies in Japan but managed to reach over 300.000 thanks to the West. Same goes for other titles like Zack & Wiki. Sold horrible in Japan but managed to do decent in the West. I don't care what Capcom says, they're just to damn lazy to make a sequel, they rather milk out on HD consoles or charge high for PSN games on the PS3.

To be honest; never ever had PS2 such extremely lousy software support. And besides, people should be glad a casual minigame fest bombed, right? 

No problem, although I don't mind posting the data in BKK's threads, either. I just think it would be nice to have a separate 'first day' thread.

Yeah lets celebrate a casual game bombed! Well BengaBenga, even core games bomb in Japan, look at the No More Heroes sale disaster in Japan, but sold very good over here. Maybe the Japanese should release games first in the West for a change and let those Japanese wait, since they don't care. Like WTH canceling Fatal Frame over here anyway?!
