You make a strong statement above. I initially also thought that opinions could be unbiased and i would like to believe that it can, but i can't come up with any example of an unbiased opinion. Do you know any? 

 I think something can be true because of the pursuit of the concept. (For instance a true "line" does not exist. All we know are line segments.) Even though everything is biased a man still can be unbiased because of the intent.

 To say someone is honest does not take account the fact that they were wrong. It only means that they gave the most truthful answer available to them. A truthful person can be the biggest liar.

LOL technically saying that nothing is unbiased is a biased opinion too.

I say it as a joke mostly because depending on how deep you take the question the harder it becomes.

I don't think I'm particularly biased to any console. I have other biases, but not for consoles.

Unbiased means that when you are asked to pick either of two different options, though you have a predisposition towards an opinion, you are not picking a side b/c you already favored one, but you are picking a side b/c it is the right one.


For example, if someone asked me which console to buy, a PS3 or a Wii, and they say that they need my best advice. Though, in my opinion, the Wii is the better console and I like it, that doesn't mean that person would. So, I would give them the details they need, find out what they want, then let them decide. That is what an unbiased person is. Yes, the person still has an opinion, but they don't let their opinion guide them to make a decision, but their thoughtful logical answer decides.
