Unbiased means that when you are asked to pick either of two different options, though you have a predisposition towards an opinion, you are not picking a side b/c you already favored one, but you are picking a side b/c it is the right one.


For example, if someone asked me which console to buy, a PS3 or a Wii, and they say that they need my best advice. Though, in my opinion, the Wii is the better console and I like it, that doesn't mean that person would. So, I would give them the details they need, find out what they want, then let them decide. That is what an unbiased person is. Yes, the person still has an opinion, but they don't let their opinion guide them to make a decision, but their thoughtful logical answer decides.
