This just in: Virtua Tennis 2009 lets you fight pirates

If there was any doubt in your mind about which of the upcoming Tennis games was going to offer the most unique and enjoyable gameplay-  we’d like to officially put it to rest now.

Yes, you can actually fight pirates in one of the Mini-games in VT2009. (And they shoot cannonballs back at you.) I loved the mini-games in this series before I saw this - now I can’t wait to win some battles on the seven seas with a racket and a bunch of tennis balls.

haha, i want a full fledged FPS type game where you play a guy with a tennis racket and tennis balls and you bean people in the face with them all throughout a japaneese city - that would be fun :)



Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

I dont like minigames in VT, they should put more players and really improve the carreer mode, these minigames are absurd, what does this have to do with tennis, they are killing the sport. I would complain if you played against pirates in PES too to train your players.

I think I will get thisggame and I hope there is a way to turn off this minigames in career mode, but thats doubtfull since that was the way u trained in VT3
