OT: Happy to see PS3 is starting to hit its stride in Japan now, but Sony needs that price cut to further shift some momentum.

@DiplomaticImmunity : DQ8 was the fastest selling PS2 game in Japan EVER. It seriously wouldn't surprise me if DQ9 and DQX each outsold the FFXIII titles in Japan.

Sorry but this doesn't really mean anything. It's like saying, i'm really good at videogames..........for a guy with one arm. It's not like, it's selling well at this point, so imagine what happens when it reaches price parity with the Wii. That's never going to happen, PS3 will always be the more expensive console. It's part of Sony's strategy and it's not something that's going to change.

Even if the PS3 managed to outsell the Wii by 5000 units every week in Japan, it'd take close to 1000 weeks (or about 18-19 years) for it to catch up to the Wii in that territory alone.
