i guess i need some better reading skills cause ive read the article three times and i still cant find where it says TODAY killzone 2 just past 1 million...call me an idiot but when i read it it says killzone 2 has already supassed one million...when did it pass one million ? how far past one million is it? i cant find the answer to either one of those question....im glad i have all the nice educated folks on here to tell me such things

so you're saying that Sony decided to wait 6 weeks to make a press release that KZ2 passed a million?  Nobody is gonna believe that.

The question everyone here should be asking themselves is??

Is Sony referring to 1 million shipped to retailers or 1 million sold to customers.

The article is pretty clear stating Sony today revealed that the critically acclaimed first-person shooter from Guerilla Games has sold over one million copies worldwide.

but is that sold to retailer or sold to customer?

Yea, they've SHIPPED 1 million and 600k have been SOLD in the US. Which means a nice 100k have been sold in Europe.

How about looking at this logically:

1. They said OVER a milllion, meaning it could be any number over a million

2. They are only refering to the USA. Was this said in response to NPD numbers? 600k sold + 400k on shelves could make sense

It says specifically that the 1 million is worldwide.  Over a million could mean anything, but if you think logically like you said no company is gonna wait til the game gets to 1.4 million to release a statement that it sold 1 million.  Logically it looks like it is sold to customer WW

I doubt Sony would know that information.

no i didnt say that...you are making assumptions....but what i do know is that sony like most companies pay certain companies to track sales of their products and when they recieve that information they announce it...if its shipped data then sony would have the information immediately the article does not say...my point was neither do we the reader know; so where is everyone getting all their data from when referencing this one tiny article

of course... Logic dictates that Sony wouldn't release info that they don't know...

This logic thing is all new to me...
