Pasting together cutscenes does not make a good movie. Besides there are too many hours of cutscenes and most of them are too slow for a good movie. It'll get boring quickly.
i thought thats what MGS4 was??? just a bunch of long ass CGI cut scenes??
lol jk anyways i doubt it would do well. i just dont see alot of people apart from hardore gamers going to see it.
But thats just me
Long Live SHIO!
No becuase critics would consider the story to be overly convoluted(in a bad way).
I remember hearing one guy on Gamespot saying that if Roger Ebert watched the cutscenes in Metal Gear Solid 4, he'd take back his, "Video games can't be art," comment. If a Metal Gear movie were made, not only would the opposite happen, he'd take the comment to his grave just like Ken Kesey swore to never see the movie adaptation of his book One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
If he saw it, he'd be like, "WTF am I watching?" The Metal Gear games rely way too much on exposition, story telling to convoluted for the big screen to capture, and would take up way more hours than the average movie viewer would be willing to invest.
Maybe the Silent Hill case would happen where only die-hard fanatics of the series and a select few people are the only ones who actually manage to enjoy it, but no, a Metal Gear movie wouldn't change the way people look at video-game based movies.

Dude, you need to stop this. Is your objective to bring more humiliation upon Wii fanboys then they have now? Anyhow, in regards to Wii Sports as a movie, I saw it I believe. Either it was "A League of Ordinary Gentlemen":
Or "The Mii Lebowski" (Warning, language alert):
Where did Metal Gear Solid originated as a medium?
Let's keep it that way...
No.... Not unless people are willing to watch a 15+ hour movie with a story line spanning over the course of 50 - 70 years.
