With Madden just retiring, should EA put him on the cover as a tribute? I think so, maybe it will end the Madden curse.

It would be fitting, certainly. I don't know, though. EA probably takes Madden very seriously, enough to the point where they won't put "some old guy" on the cover, as it might detract a small margin of sales (we've seen how much stock publishers tend to put in their boxart, so this isn't too farfetched)

I don't see any reason why they shouldn't. Anybody buying Madden should be aware of the person and not get turned off by it.

I wonder if he's still going to do broadcasting for the Madden games or if that is over too.

It would be the ultimate sign of respect if they put him on the cover of the next Madden, and then retired the brand. Next game could be EA Sports NFL Football, or something.
