I expected more for the DS but is still a good number.

 Thats the point though, when the economy is in a downturn a good business strategy is to prepare for the worst, Sony did not do this which is why they've struggled so much financially.  Microsoft have always been very good no matter the state of an economy because they're always well prepared for the good and bad times.  You can of course also put most of the good state of Microsoft's finances in their vast cash reserves combined with almost recession proof products in Windows and Office.

ps3 could come close to taking this week but maybe not till next week

I predict the the Wii will not reach 200k sales in a week until Christmas time. Okay, maybe they'll make 200k the week Wii Sports Resort is released but after that, sub 200k until the holidays.

 Why next week, I'm not flaming you I just wondered what was happening to cause a 20k swing the other way?  If it's down to a demo that you have your faith in the swing, then I'll admit to being impressed if it moves that many consoles.

yeah it all comes down to how big of a boost the ffxiii demo actually gives. it could be minor or it could be decent. i actually have no idea how its going to do, but regardless WW the ps360 gap has been pretty close the past for weeks so even a minor boost will make things closer.

Looks like the 360 WW lead will be between 10-20k. Very nice DS numbers.

@Viper pg 3. In uk the arcade is 170 gbp cheaper than a ps3 more than half. Also the price of elite is 215 gbp, ps3 300 gbp

"losing by not that much" is the new "winning".

Meanwhile, the gap increases every week.

Seems Sony has achieved a cross-patenting license deal with Apple in order to use Cupertino's infamous Reality Distortion Field.

I fully expect a big adjustment for North American sales for both PS3 and 360, online retail data shows the complete opposite for those two sales wise.
