Forums - Sony - SOCOM Fire Team Bravo 3 announced for PSP

FireTeam Bravo 3
Posted by Mark Rogers

It’s been over 2 years since we released SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 2 for the PlayStation Portable. During that time we’ve been working diligently to improve the SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo series and are excited to announce the upcoming release of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 for the PSP.

Join the ominous world of ex-secret operatives as you lead a covert operation to track and interrogate former KGB agent, Alexander Gozorov who is believed to be withholding information on a forthcoming attack with weapons of mass destruction.

While the SOCOM name has long been synonymous with multiplayer tactical gaming, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 takes it a step further allowing players to tackle missions with teamwork and firepower. Players can also compete online, communicate via voice chat, battling for Medals and a place on SOCOM’s online leaderboards.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 is being developed by Slant Six Games; keep your eyes on the blog this Friday to check out a teaser trailer for SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3.

Wasn't there a SOCOM game that was released for PSP that wasn't like the Fireteam Bravo games at all?

*google*

Ah yes it was Tactical Strike also made by Slant Six. Glad to see they are back to the old SOCOM formula, I'll need to keep an eye on this.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Sounds like it will have coop, hopefully it will be Ad-hoc compatible as well as general online. I'm not too fond of regular multiplayer, but if it has coop, I might just get it for my future PSP.

Tactical Strike was a great game, very underrated...

As long as It gets a UMD release as well I'll keep an eye out :P

It's just that simple.

Wasn't expecting this at all lol.

Not my type of game, so I'll pass. Maybe my brother will be interested by this. Anyway, great news for the PSP. They are very serious about suporting this incredible machine.

So that means coop then? 4 player SOCOM Ad-Hoc or WiFi coop multiplayer is all the reason I need to pick it up!
