No FF game has sold over 10 million copies. GTA had a couple of games: San Andreas and Vice City that sold over 20 million copies and most of them have sold over 15 million except for the first two games: GTA and GTA II. 

GTA IV combined on X360 and PS3 will again sell over 20 million software sales when it stops selling by end of the generation.

What chances are of FFXIII game sales combined on X360 and PS3 even breaking 10 million sales let alone 20 million sales?

Grand Theft Auto series stands out as being the best in its genre - sand box. Whereas Final Fantasy series it is not even the best JRPG series let alone the best RPG. I will not say what I really think of FF series.

My task for you is to discuss the popularity of Grand Theft Auto series versus Final Fantasy series.

If you wanted to make an FF hate topic you could come out with something better than that.

And Grand Theft Auto is nowhere near being the best sandbox or the best action game.

People going on about the quality. Last time I checked GTA games as a whole have much higher review scores than FF series games.

GTA individual game sales are much higher than sales of individual FF series. GTA series averages around 15 million per episode. FF averages around 6 million sales per episode.

There's really nothing to discuss... FF may be the most popular JRPG series, but that genre is very populated.

GTA's only actual competitions is... Saint's Row, right? GTA is massive and has always (well, since GTA3) been bigger than FF.
