Most titles will be well known IP's like God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Motorstorm, Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance, Uncharted, Jak and Daxter) Finally SONY will market PS3 like its worth $600 and surprise the masses with a launch price of $499(limited, pre-order only, approx. $50 profit per console)/$349(standard SKU. sold at a small (sub-$50) loss).

I find it really hard for Sony to release another PLAYSTATION any time soon. Especiall with the PS2 still selling like hot cakes.

It might sound odd, but I'm with IGN on this one...The playstation '4' will basically be a PS3.5 but packaged as PlayStation 4. They will probably release near the same time as the Xbox '3'

The Playstation '4' will have similar technology as the PS3, but upgraded a bit. That way they can keep cost down and learn from their mistakes this generations.

4. As far as success, I think Nintendo will still be #1 in the competition. I think Sony will bring force, but Microsoft will still defeat them as far as Hardcore/casual gaming goes....along with units sold.

In my opinion if Sony wants to stay in the race, they need to release their console near the same time that Microsoft releases theirs. Although I agree to some extend with what IGN stated, I find it hard for Sony to release a new console any earlier than 2014; mainly because of all the money they lost with the PS3 and the mad sales and support the PS2 is still getting.

1. The Japanese hate the number 4. For instance there were no Canon G4 or S4 IS cameras. They went from 3 directly to 5.

I also remeber reading somewhere that Narita Airport has no Gate 4. My guess is PS400 or even PS4000 if MS did an Xbox 1080.
