from the time i first played contra one in the arcade, to getting contra 4 on ds it is contra

possibly my favorite videogame series of my life

yeah some sucked but contra 3 was one of the best 16 bit games ever made

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6). This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

I wanted to necro this thread because I made it before polls were introduced. Anyways, Contra won the initial vote. I also wanted to discuss any news regarding these two series. AKA There should be a Metal Slug and Contra on the 3DS and PSV.

Anyways, if you own a Wii and like Metal Slug you should pick up the anthology!

I could never get into Contra for some reason, but Metal Slug hooked me since I played it for the first time, probably because I like the art style and the humor better, gotta love the fatties.
