Got this on my wall:

"How does it feel to be a commi son of a bitch in Texas. Watch your ass they might lynch you if your not careful. Just sayin..."

If he was upset about the videos, he violated rule #1 of the internet. If you don't want other people to see it and make fun of you for it, don't post it. Because someone will find it.  They were actually posted all the way back on page #2 in the first post.  I just embedded the videos.  I did not comment at all on the content of the videos or anything specific about Halogamer in the videos.  All I did was link to a Youtube video that he made and uploaded to the internet himself.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Pathetic.I agree. This thread became pathetic once certain people started mocking him for things he believed. Certain antagonistic members love to cause mischief. He was banned for being upset, and rightly so, that they were mocking him.

If you can't take the heat stay out of the fire. It's a VERY simple concept really.

Normally I'd feel bad for him, but I don't. This needed to happen. Maybe one of these bans will finally show that YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TROLL.

Speaking of which, let's look at this quote:

"I guess everyone forgot how Dems bitched during the last 8 years.  Now its your turn to take it and if you can't get the hell out of the political kitchen."

He kept in the political kitchen and couldn't take it, and he has no one to blame but himself. Seriously, I stopped having breakdowns on forums when I turned 16 years old. I've tried to like Halogamer, I really have. You could even read a heartfelt message from me on his wall. But people who constantly troll and insult other people are not members I will ever, ever like.

Looks like I missed all the real fun.

I don't even think halogamer is an old school conservative republican like he thinks he is. He's a NeoCon, and they are very different.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

I went home and missed the ending. I'm feeling kinda let down.

There really needs to be rules about political trolls. Halogamer and Tyrannical just troll up Off Topic constantly. I have nothing against fair viewpoints, but this is another thing entirely.

We do have rules in place. You did notice I just banned him right?

He was banned because he flamed other members. I'm talking about things like this:

Person 1: "Obama issued a law today."

Person: "Lol, commie."

Rough example, but I think you get the point. Trolling and flaming are different.

He was banned for breaking the forum rules.  There is a difference between calling somebody crazy or misinformed and calling everybody in the thread a son of a bitch.  He might have been trying to tone down his insults by "hiding" them in Spanish, but this is an international forum, so that doesn't cut it.  Also, directly insulting mods will only help him secede from the forums for a couple days.

I understand that rubang, but the point is, while yes he broke the rules, it should not have gotten that far. Akuma deliberately antagonized him and mocked him. Putting up his videos was unnecessary imho. Putting up the waaaambulance pic after being absent from the thread for a page is unacceptable. I believe this should have been stopped before hand. Everyone involved though was interested in seeing the fireworks and not preventing a situation.

The internet is serious business.  He had a radical extremist position, and he flipped out because we laughed at it.  And we're not here to babysit extremists.  We're here to analyze sales trends of video games.

He always mocks me, my beliefs, and my naked pictures but I don't get internet meltdowns.  He's the only one who resorts to namecalling and gets banned all the time.  He really wants to get all his opponents banned and reports us for nothing all the time too.  Halogamer might come back to fight in this thread in a little bit though, with his really obvious alt, CovertCIA.

Yea, that deserves a ban just itself.

You and I have gone a few rounds, and neither of us ever resorted to that.

(I still keep you in my sig however, because it's the most socialist thing you ever said :p)

I still stand by that statement.  I mean seriously, more than 10 kids?  That's just a never-ending welfare case waiting to happen.

I am not for "big government" per se.  I think the government should severely cut spending during good economic years to save money for the bad.  That also means raising taxes and interest so that there isn't excess capital in the market that can cause a bubble like the one we just went through.  Now I don't think they always need to raise taxes, but they REALLY do in our circumstances where our national debt is obscene to say the least.  On the flipside, I think the government is one of the only things that can ease a recession and in the most extreme cases prevent a depression.  The government is the only one with those kinds of resources.

There are some things the government can do better than the private sector.  Everyone agrees with that statement (like those who think the government should run the police and the military), but many people disagree on what it is the government does better.  That's fine, but I think it is something that people fight about more often than they should.

There are also certain things that I think the private sector has horribly, horribly botched, like healthcare.  The government has to do something to fix it.  I'd be for getting rid of health insurance companies altogether.  All they are is a middle man who provides no real service and often cause more problems than they solve.

And I am strongly against "big government" in the authoritarian sense of the word.  I am a civil libertarian to my core.  Me and mafoo do agree on more or less all of those issues.

There are pretty much no issues whatsoever I agree with halogamer on.

The government has no resources. All they have is power. The power to take resources from the people. I am all for that to run the country. I am very much against it to just take from one man to give to another.

Something we very much disagree on :)
