I'm confused. So it's about two enemies(Socialism vs. individual states) that are both combating an overbearing Obama administration? So isn't the enemy of your other enemy actually your friend? So socialism and individual states are buddy-buddy then?

How would you like us to professionally add to the conversation? Should we get our degrees first, or do you just want us to get paid for our writing?

Ooh, yay. You threw a big old hissyfit. What are these terrible taxes that Obama is instituting? Unless of course you're rich, in which case you have more than enough money to live by. And I never said this thread was about the Civil War. Lincoln tried to preserve the union, and if you want any state or any part of the U.S. to secede, that's going against his wishes.

Bottom line IMO:

At the end of the day Republicans claimed the world was a great place to live when Bush was president. But as soon as Obama, a liberal socialist who is black and most likely atheist, comes into power almost overnight they begin to play the underdogs. Claiming that the country has gone down the tubes, society has broken up, financial crisis has hit (as though it didn't with Bush) and if we are not careful he will take away your freedoms (which if you wanna talk about that lets talk Bush).

Don't worry, the Democrats did the same thing when Bush was in power.

That's my summary of American politics in the past few years anyway

I don't think he's agree with you so much as he is owning you. The point is that the moment they lose power , conservatives immidiately get whiny and bitchy and COMPLETELY forget that the problems were caused by them and lay everything on someone whose plans haven't even BEGUN to take any effect.

Yeah, he royally f**ked up in his 2nd term.

Politics is hypocritical no matter whos side you are on. It's your duty to bash the other guys, that's the point. The thing is you just have to wait your turn. That's why I said enjoy the ride earlier.

Also, I think the most hardened Bush suporters weren't to keen on him by the end.
