50 million dollars will be like a pin prick to MS.

Also I thought the whole point of this 50 mill was that it was a loan deal ?

ie the 50 million gets paid back before anyone starts dividing the money up.

What about buring 60 million dollars on killzone 2
sony will never make that money back

I forgot all about that but you are right, but in all honesty lets hope they do even though it doesn't look like it is going to happen.

If you ignore the fact that the $60 million figure is pure speculation and not proven fact to a degree there is the same consideration to be made as with the first DLC for GTA4.  Whatever the budget of KZ2 was, a large proportion of the cost would have been tool and engine development, these can now be used on future games and licensed to third parties to generate revenue.  I think it's almost impossible for that money to be considered a bad investment personally, sure KZ2 might not make as much money as Sony would hope but it should justify itself being created.

No.

Ok, I see you couldn't be bothered to even try and find any fault in my logic.  What was supposedly wrong in my statement to you then so I can shoot your opinion down equally lamely.

wasn't it only a loan, anyway?

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

I don't think it's microsoft's fault, good call imo. It's just that it's a pity Rockstar went and made such a boring game. I doubt many people who own gta4 will want to pay for more of the same. Many people I know who own the game havn't bothered beating it.

I'll go on a limb and say you never played the DLC... in fact I know that you haven't because your comments if fucking retarded.  The new content may share the city and engine of the main game, but the entire thing is as diffrent as you can get.  It's got a pretty strong GTA:SA feel to it.  It wouldn't be going out much to say it's better thant he main game.

Of coarse I've never played the DLC, even if I had a 360 I wouldn't pay for the DLC because of how disappointed with the game I was (regardless of how good Lost and the Damned may or may not be) I speak for all my 360 friends, half of them didn't finish the game, none of them bought the DLC.

I never said the DLC itself was boring.

Honestly why didnt Microsoft spend that money on a new exclusive game instead, imo its not worth to spend that kind of money on dlc.

Because if they did, they wouldn't simply get the money back after the second episode is out, regardless of how well it sells.

Eh, they're just gonna get it back. Not sure it was really a bad idea, just maybe not really a beneficial one either, since it can't hurt them, but they may ONLY get their $50 mil back then anything more.

People seem to be unable to grasp the concept of a loan on this site.

Its a doddle

Person A gives Person B something of value.

at a point in the future Person B returns the something of value to Person A

The intervening time is known as the period of the loan
